I heard this Angie Martinez interview with Mos Def on the radio last week, and found the video. The most interesting point in the video is when Mos discusses his Battle of New Orleans concept. The battle would consist of Mos's dream team of lyricists (Mos, Black Thought, MF DOOM, Jay Electronica and Nas) against Jay-Z and his hand-picked team. All proceeds from the event would go the city of New Orleans, and would elevate hip-hop even higher as an art form. If this ever happens...I'm there.
