D-Lock n MediK present Official Language EP available June 29th!!!

June 22, 2010 (Brooklyn, NY)-----On Tuesday, June 29th, 2010, hip-hop duo D-Lock n MediK will release Official Language EP, their second collaborative effort since 2009’s Crill Tone.

The project will include 6 new songs showcasing the duo’s growth both lyrically and sonically. A compilation that explores D-Lock n MediK’s many facets, Official Language EP represents their voice—a voice that many music lovers are waiting to hear. Ranging from the hard-hitting drums and witty rhymes of “Caution” to the celebratory and electronic vibe of “Cloud 9”, D-Lock n MediK know they have created a body of work that hip-hop fans will enjoy and want to share with others.

Official Language EP will be available online via D-Lock n MediK’s bandcamp page at dlocknmedik.bandcamp.com and the duo’s blog at dlocknmedik.blogspot.com.

Three singles off the EP—Caution, Cloud 9 and Top to Bottom—will be available on iTunes this fall. Hip-hop artist D-Lock is currently performing at local venues in New York City and also on college campuses across the Northeast.

Former roommates at Vassar College, longtime friends D-Lock n MediK began collaborating musically during their senior year. After both musicians decided to take the time to further their education, they reconnected in 2009 and released their first project, Crill Tone. D-Lock’s unpredictable flow coupled with MediK’s infectious soundscape quickly made songs like “Something New” and “Gotcha” favorites among fans.
